The Initiative – Second Life of Buildings serves to unite organisations interested in the revitalisation, modernisation and change in use of existing constructions – including the perspective of city revitalisation processes.
Our goal is to stimulate a wide-ranging discussion of these questions. We have invited experts from a variety of specialisations, so we can exchange experience and prepare solutions to support the development of cities – including the enrichment of their surrounding areas – by giving buildings a new lease of life and a new purpose. We would like to come up with a joint answer to the question: How should we design and transform a city or building, so as to best serve whole generations for as long a time as possible?
Our partners include: investors, developers, municipal councils and other local authorities, consulting and advisory firms. construction companies (including producers of materials, services as well as general contractors), architecture studios and interior design companies, law offices, companies with real-estate for sale, real-estate agencies.
